Get Involved

The vibrant launch of a range of Festival activities in Swansea and the surrounding area in April 2006 (pictured above and below) is typical of the verve with which communities across the country have seized the opportunities that the Festival has generated.  A terrific range of activity continues across the country.  See events for more information.

Festival Events

If you would like to submit an event to the Festival please contact us (see Contact page) but read our Guidelines first: the Festival Trustees and Management have developed a Guidelines document for Festival partners, which can be downloaded here (PDF reader required).

When you are confident that your event falls within our Guidelines, send us a short email outlining the nature of the event and requesting an event proposal form from us. We will then email you the form so that you can register your event for consideration by the Festival management.

There is a short vetting procedure (for which you should allow two weeks turnaround) and we will then let you know if we can include your event in the Festival. Once inclusion is confirmed we will send you our logo, to be used in all your publicity about your event, and will put your event details on our website and promote your event as part of the Festival.

If you are seeking funding for an event, bear in mind that the Festival is not a funding body. However, if we consider your event has sufficient merit, we can write a letter of support for a funding application to Arts Council England (Grants for the Arts), and will consider writing letters to other bodies as well.

Please also note that the Festival does not own any venues and cannot accept proposals for inclusion in the events of its programme partners. However, if the event is of sufficient merit, and you have identified a venue, we would like to hear from you.
Guests from across the community enjoyed a great evening of entertainment at Swansea´s sparkling new National Waterfront Museum at the local launch in April:
